The Robin Hill neighborhood is a quiet, family neighborhood popular with first-time home buyers and empty nesters. While the home styles vary, many are three bedroom ranches with single car garages and well kept lawns in both front and back areas. Home prices range from the low $100,000’s to $150,000, with value dependent on square footage, finishes, and location. Condominiums and apartments are also found in the community.
One of Omaha’s largest employers, The University of Nebraska Med Center, is a short drive from the area as are retail centers on Center Street, Leavenworth Street, and 50th Street. A major benefit for downtown commuters living in the area is easy access to Interstate-80.
The Omaha Public School system serves the area as do several parochial schools. St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church with its beautiful facilities plays a prominent role in the community, so much so that many people refer to the area as St. Thomas Moore. Churches of other denominations are also in close proximity.
The Robin Hill Neighborhood Association’s purpose is: “To maintain a well kept neighborhood, to live in and raise children.” A drive through the community will show that they are accomplishing this goal.
